Caring for Moms & Babies

As your little one arrives, there are so many things you are preparing for.  Breastfeeding preparation often isn't on your mind, but it is one of the most important pieces to a smooth transition in the first couple of weeks.

With a variety of offerings tailored to your needs, goals & finances, find the support you need in an individual visit, where we can prepare for baby's arrival, kick-start breastfeeding with your newborn, or address challenges as they arise.

Breastfeeding can be a wonderful gift to both mom and baby, but it’s not effortless and can take a trained professional to help achieve your goals.

Where are you on your journey?

Expecting or New Mother

As you begin preparing for your baby's arrival, one of the most important pieces is preparing for your breastfeeding journey.   Having support will help prepare you for baby's arrival, assist with any issues that arise when you begin to breastfeed, and help you learn to nourish & support yourself on this journey.   My training as a Registered Dietitian & Board Certified Lactation Consultant combines the mother's and baby's nutritional needs for a supportive breastfeeding journey.

Prenatal Consult

In the second or third trimester of pregnancy, you have a great opportunity to prepare for breastfeeding & make the transition easier once baby arrives.

In this appointment, you will:

  • Learn about breastfeeding basics & common challenges

  • Create a framework to get breastfeeding off to the right start from hospital to home

  • Bottle feeding when needed & if desired

  • Reviewing essential items to make breastfeeding easier & more convenient

Newborn Support & Problem Visits

Having support with a newborn is critical for both baby + mom.  I hear from women all the time about how they did not have the resources they needed to continue on their breastfeeding journey.  My goal is to prevent that from happening.

These appointments are great to book with a newborn for general support, coordinating additional care you may require, or addressing common issues, such as:

  • Experiencing too little/too much milk

  • Latching Issues & tongue-tie

  • Engorgement (swollen & painful breasts)

  • Returning to work & other challenges
