As you begin preparing for your baby's arrival, one of the most important pieces is preparing for your breastfeeding journey. This program is everything you need from before your baby arrives, through their first few months & encompasses both the baby's needs, plus your needs and nourishing yourself. My training as a Registered Dietitian & Board Certified Lactation Consultant makes this program unique, by combining the mother and baby's nutritional needs.
You will receive:
Post Partum Support Course & Workbooks, full of guidance & resources for nourishing yourself as you nourish your baby,
-
Preparing for the 4th Trimester, a workbook packed with resources for you and your family to prepare for upcoming needs, changes at home, organizing how household tasks will be handled + more!
-
Breaking Down Breastfeeding, a workbook packed with resources to prepare for baby, handle the first few days & weeks post-delivery, understand food safety when breastfeeding & formula feeding, feeding schedules & volume + more!
-
Nourishing Mom, a workbook packed with snack ideas & simple recipes, nutrition guides for breastfeeding, understanding Baby Blues vs Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, returning to exercise & intimacy, postpartum decision-making, return to work plan, community resources + more!

A prenatal consultation, where we start by reviewing your health history & identifying risk factors for low milk supply. We will then go over the basics of breastfeeding, preparing your space for feeding, a checklist of essential breastfeeding supplies, getting the right breast pump & sizing the accessories, contingency plans for post-delivery & an overview of the initial couple weeks of breastfeeding, as well as common challenges women face & the guidance to overcome them.

5 visits for after baby's arrival, where we check-in together on how you are doing, how baby is doing, and work on overcoming specific challenges. You can choose the schedule, but most people select a schedule like the one below, with these focuses:
-
Week 1: get latching off to a good start, check in on your milk supply, support navigating supplemental bottle-feeding with expressed breastmilk or formula when needed, newborn care
-
Week 2- revisit latch and conduct a weighted feed (determine the amount of milk baby is transferring), understanding your newborns wants and needs
-
Week 4- weighted feed, signs baby is getting enough, support with optimal milk transfer, problem visit topics
-
Week 5- continued monitoring of weighted feeds, assessing baby's growth & established milk supply, problem visit topics
-
During Weeks 8 to 12- expand on anything you need additional support on, infant sleep, returning to work & a pumping plan

Common problems that arise include clogged ducts, mastitis, low supply or poor weight gain, oversupply, infant GI issues, nipple damage/pain, and infant breastmilk or formula intolerances. We will cover these as they come up alongside your appointments.
